Why we
launched the
magazine

We believe there is a gap in the market for local relevant information and advice for study and careers options, especially for young people and a lack of enterprise education in schools and colleges.

Our vision is to enlighten and inspire young people about the opportunities open to them and to raise their aspirations, by showing them the many opportunities available and helping them and their families navigate through what can be a confusing environment.

The Make the Future Yours! magazine aims to be an informative, impartial resource for young people, parents, tutors, career-changers and employers; in short, for anyone looking for inspiration or advice on future career and work-related choices.

We don’t aim to provide encyclopaedic or highly specialist content on every topic; however, we do want to illustrate the range of what is possible and will seek to signpost readers (both in print and online) to further sources of information and guidance, who can provide that specialist advice.

We’ll also feature the opinions and experience of interesting personalities as a means to create a wider awareness of opportunities available.

I spent many years’ trying to find a suitable career path after I left school, partly due to the lack of guidance given to me at the time, now I want to help young people get the sort of advice I would have found invaluable.
— David Hewlett, CEO and Founder, Make the Future Yours!
